I'm dying to post a pic of my new 1864, but it's only Friday and I'm picking it up Sunday. I'm super stoked about it! Had a 782 many many years ago and kick myself often for parting with it. Sold to a neighbor because he needed a good mower and I knew it would be a good home. He won't sell it back even after he inherited a newer sloped hood Cub. Guess he's hooked too. I know where there is a Super that was priced to me but I don't have the coin and he's not real interested in selling although I don't think he's crazy on the price for the condition. Maybe one day I can snag it. I really dig the Cyclops. For now here's a picture of a 1320 we're putting together for my 6 year old's first tractor. Nothing wrong with the Kohler but we're putting an 18hp opposed Briggs I/C on it with twin stacks and very likely getting bar tires on rear. I guess it will be a 1820 now lol
I know, wrong forum sorry. Only cub picture I can provide ATM lol
I also know these aren't worth squat but I took it on partial trade when I sold a craftsman to the guy he was fed up with this one. Wiring issues, broken deck brackets, rusty deck, the hydro/brake interlock mechanism got bound up and was stuck in forward only at one speed. I got deck pulled, linkage fixed up, engine pulled and power washed it, cleaned up and repainted donor engine, and rewired it, all in 3 evening's time. I'll have the new engine on and be working on exhaust then she'll be ready to roll. Had to order longer throttle and choke cables to reach front of engine. This is just for him to tool around on, the mower deck won't be going back on it. I took this on trade mainly for the Kohler engine I need to run a hydro pump for my knuckle boom crane on my gooseneck trailer I use to load and haul logs. That's another project. At this moment, I'm money ahead on this Cub. The boy has been trying to lay claim to many parts machines and flipper mowers all cheap junky mtd/AYP variety. After taking this on trade I realized he needed one of his own and regardless of it's status among the cub community at least it bears a good brand name and he can be proud of it. It's his size and hand control hydro will be easy for him to reach safely. We'll let him learn to pull a cart with this one and he can tool around on it at shows. And it'll sound good with that opposed twin breathing through stacks.
