Toughest thing about having three Cubs is choosing which one to use.
Ian

Cubmonkey 07-23-2009 10:08 PM

Yeah IanC thats the hardest part about them, deciding which one to use.:bigthink:

Diz Jr. 07-23-2009 10:36 PM

989aray,
Nice line up. Little ones look like they are having fun :biggrin2.gif:

IanC Nice Cubs. I only have 2 and its a tuff decision. I usually mow with 1 one week and the other the next. But what a great problem to have huh?

ACecil 07-23-2009 10:39 PM

Nice cubs guys! Thanks for the pics.

IanC 07-24-2009 07:26 PM

My decision will be easier after next week. I'm selling the 100 w/ the stack to my good friend. He's really been wanting one and I thought I'd help him out. I'll be meeting him at the Rocky Mtn IH Rendevous. It's mainly an IH light truck gathering, but there should be a few Cubs there. If I can get all three plus one of my Scouts there, I will.
Ian

Diz Jr. 07-25-2009 01:07 AM

Get us some pictures at the show if you can.

IanC 07-25-2009 10:25 PM

Will do. Hope you folks aren't opposed to seeing Scouts in the pics too.

and race this one...http://inlinethumb25.webshots.com/43...425x425Q85.jpg which the neighbor says is too fast already..lol.

Diz Jr. 08-12-2009 09:52 PM

truckntran,

Good lookin tractor! Not tryiing to argue with you but are you sure its not a 147 ?

Engine looks nice also. Whats it hooked to?. Looks like a frame work of some kind.

truckntran 08-12-2009 10:06 PM

yup, you are right, a 147..... :BangPC:

The motor was on some sort of vac or leaf blower thing at a golf course... the impeller was a bear to get off it but it is finally off and in lots of little pieces now...It is the motor I am asking about in my other post...16 hp in a 1250

Here's the new arrival before it got a bath.....http://inlinethumb01.webshots.com/45...425x425Q85.jpg

Diz Jr. 08-12-2009 10:14 PM

The bath really made a difference
I was trying to buy a 147 early this spring but the seller and me had different ideas on what it was worth. :biggrin2.gif:
Glad it didnt work out now. Few weeks later i picked up the 169.

That 16 ought to look good in the 1250. :beerchug:

ACecil 08-12-2009 11:05 PM

Nice tractors, truckntran! Good luck, with them. :beerchug:

I had to fire up the boys today just to make sure the batteries stayed up. This is a group shot. As you can see from the one photo I'm down to replacing or covering the seats. two of these were smokers at best when I got them. The 100 had other issues. But they are strong smooth running machines now. Yes ... I'm proud.

The last one is a 100 that has got to get some paint on it when I finish getting it straight. Sure would be nice to have a garage.:biggrin2.gif:

Diz Jr. 08-15-2009 04:19 PM

RPalmer,

Nice line up
They look good all in a row like that.

Thanks. I really enjoy these great little tractors. They won't get a real work-out here though until it snows. Then they'll be working. If I wake up dead some morning come and get these. No one in my family even knows what they are, ... Really.

Diz Jr. 08-15-2009 07:04 PM

Thats a shame RPalmer,
Some people just dont appreciate the finer things in life:biggrin2.gif:

My Only Cub Cadet 100 Straight From the Junk Yard

Please make comments or recommendations for improvements. The tractor and mower deck where put together with stainless steel bolts, flat washers, nylon locking nuts. Paint was supplied and applied by Kenny Lane Body Shop, Columbus, OH. using a paint designed to reduce chipping. The motor is a K301A 12HP.

I refurbished this Cub with one thing in mind how much work will I be able to accomplish in style. The Cub is back mowing yards, plowing, dozing and roto-tilling gardens.

During a recent plow day myCub performed like a new tractor even keeping up with John Deere 420 diesel garden tractors. Not bad for being 43 years old :beerchug:.

Matt G. 08-16-2009 12:34 PM

Looks great! However, beware of SS bolts...most hardware store bolts SS bolts are only about as strong as grade 2 bolts, and therefore not strong enough for anything structural on the tractor.

papaglide 08-16-2009 12:39 PM

Nice looking 100 ralmonrode!!! great job :beerchug:

Hey guys, heres my 129 i just got done getting running. i put the sleeve hitch on and bottom brackets on." i think there on right?" the red coil is on until we get a new one. and then theres my rubbermaid yard trailer. still needs a seat, the motors got a knock so gunna wait to mow with it until it gets more run time.
