I’m getting ready to put this back together. I have a question about the motor mounts. All 8 of the original ones have a metal insert, but only 4 of the new ones do. Which one would go on the top, and which one on the bottom? Do the ones without the insert need washers?

I don't know the answer for certain. I only had the metal inserts on the bottom, the top had washers. The original mounts were hollow inside and had a molded in metal washer at the top. I think those are to keep the weight of the engine from rubbing the rubber against the bolt and wearing into the rubber. Those are these mounts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20101799130...m=201017991308 and I shot the seller a message for clarification. I'll post back when I hear something.

The seller replied, yes you want to use the metal insert in all 8. I did not have 8... :HeadScratch:

Thanks! I got the cradle in, next up is the motor.

Looks good. Get ready for a party when trying to get those engine bolts in. I had a heck of a time with those ones through the cross member...

Some prefer to secure the cradle to engine, then set the assembly on the rubber mounts.
(put the snubbers on the cradle first, adjusting later)
You have room to maneuver/install the mounts that might fall off during install.
I found it easier that way, but others differ maybe.

Be careful threading into the aluminum pan if you decide to install the cradle first, they are easily cross threaded, not a happy ending. :bash2:

Looking good so far but did you put the snubbers on? I do not see them...
