Yes Terry.. very similar.. I need to fire the old southbend up and make an arbor small enough to go inside the ross tube.. I have to use a 3/8 bolt with a washer at present because the ones with the tool aren't small enough.. but like I said.. I bought it for Jeep steering wheels.. I pull them every other month or so.. prob only do a cub wheel twice a year.:biggrin2:

Picked up a bumper

couldn't resist.. even though I don't need it yet.. I picked myself up a present.. An original factory bumper.. I had to see what it looked like so I stuck the grill back on and clamped the bumper down just for a picture!:biggrin2::biggrin2:

It matches the contours of the grill nicely..

Anybody know the story on these bumpers.. most of the ones I see are on cyclops and are more rounded.. this one is bent and contoured just like the 782 grill.. Were these made specially for the red 82 series?:bigthink:

That’s cool! But now I wish I’d never seen it. Now I have to have one for the 982. Told myself I was done spending money on Cubs. :ROTF1:

I thought the same thing. Now I need some dimensions and a tubing bender.

I like the wheel puller Jay, those Jeep wheels kinda look like the old IH ones.
How does the bumper mount?

I'd be happy to take pics and measurements.. maybe we could get Randy to make some of this style.. I really like his Cyclops bumpers:biggrin2:

Thanks Lew!.. The bumper mounts to the side rails just below the hood with one bolt just like the cyclops. My IH built tractors don't have the holes.. my CCC tractors do have the holes predrilled with a welded nut behind the frame:beerchug:

It's a nice setup! Maybe some of our handy members could copy this one..:bigthink: I've been looking for this style for several years.. nobody seems to know the story behind these with the straight top bar with the angle bent to match the grille..
