Seems I boogered something up. Raised the 100 up today and theres a little bit of an leak at the front of the creeper, right where the shaft comes out. I put a new seal in while it was on the table. Don't know what I could have done, pinched it or something.
So now what the heck? Will I be able to get at it while it's still on the tractor? If I can get the snap ring off, will I be able to pull the front of the creeper to put in another seal in? "HELP" |
yeah i have done the same thing

Seeing I'm at a stand still till I get some ideas on the seal, I got a few other things done on the 100, not much, but something.
The wire straps were shot, so I wire wheeled them clean and dipped them in some Plasti Dip, two coats did the job. Also put in a chrome hole plug, bling, bling:biggrin2: |
Looks good, Todd.

Todd thanks for the update! The blink looks good!

Any help on the seal? Kinda between a rock and a hard place.

Todd,
Have you got the seal figured out? Sorry I cant help much except moral support! I know that your not going to like it leaking! So could you stand the tractor one end and get to the seal on the shaft for close examination? Are you pretty sure you have nailed the leak location? I have seen oil travel from some other place and fool you as to where the leak is? Maybe a bolt needs tightened on a joint? Not much help tonight. BTW the plastic dip re-coating looks great! These items are always toast and you brought them back to original appearance, Regards, Chris |

Thanks. Chris, it is from the seal, I'm thinking I did something "bad" when I put the new one in before. Well I had to take the seat and fenders back off to get the transaxle mover back to get the creeper back out and on the bench. After some cussing:angry: got it apart and looks like I goobered up the seal on install.
So ordered a new one, and am on the hunt for a new snap ring. Think my dealer has one, at least he thought so. Always something with these darn things, but I love them none the less. |
