And don't forget I got Miss 2130 out today too!
I love to see you grinning from ear to ear while on your cubs! They sure did sound great! Love to hear the Kohler rumble! :biggrin2: |
Charged battery on my 70 and took her for a quick ride. Still need to spray out the leftover weed killer in the tank before winter. Got the 450 blower mounted on the 1862. Still need to mount the drift cutters and lights along with changing the hytran. I welded up some new skids since the originals wore thru last year. Had some scrap 1/8" x 1" bar stock. Welded to the original skids and the bent them up on both ends like skis. Took the 442 tiller of the 982 for winter. Wasn't lifting strong. Checked the hytran and was low. Pulled the driveshaft cover to check for leaks and found the pin in the rear coupler sheared. Need a new spirol pin. Parts lookup says 1/8" x 1 1/4". CC wants $8, any other suggested suppliers? Topped off the hytran with about a quart. Hopefully all is well.

I assume you are talking about the roll pin (that's not a spirol pin, actually) on the rear coupler of the 982. If so, just about any hardware store should have one.

Odd, below was your post on spirol and roll pins?
1/4" roll/spirol pins correspond to a 1/4" hole. They are slightly oversized to fit the hole tightly. Spirol pins are stronger and are used in the driveshaft on all IH Cub Cadets. Roll pins are used in applications where a bit less strength is required. Bigger roll pins are pretty strong...the later 82 series tractors use 3/8" roll pins on the lift rockshaft. |
The supers have a splined coupler and input shaft, so the spline carries the torque...the roll pin just holds the coupler on the transmission input shaft. This is different than all of the other CCs.
