Nice pics Mrgeterdone. The 1568 is the sharpest International they made in my opinion. I thought they had a DV-550 International truck division engine in them.

Aftermarket pipes look good. I always did like that tractor, they say it would run about even with the 1466 and 1566, respectively. I had also heard of people putting turbocharger kits on the V8s and blowing the mains out. What we will do for a little more power. I know a guy who owns a 1468 and he said he was pulling a disk and when the disk hit the dirt, you could feel/hear the other 4 cylinders kick in. Good 'ole IH power.

Plus Allen will let me borrow his any time I need it. I just have to make the 6 hour round trip to get it.:OhOh:

Well, Duke, if I buy the Cub Cadet lawn sweeper for Allen for Christmas, then you can have Craftsman one he uses now. :biggrin2:

Got some seat time at home, finally, with the newly acquired 2186. Got all the customer's lawns taken care of, and my own lawn done. It occurred to me that the temperature was changing quite a bit - and that fall was on its way for sure.

So, I loaded up the cart with several loads of firewood for the wood stove and another two loads (not pictured) of cinder blocks for a bonfire ring. The 2186 handled it all very well, the Power Tracs are an awesome tire. Daughter Fayden loves Dads new Cub too :)

As far as what I did FOR the Cub today...

Wired in the quick adapter for the battery tender, tightened up and greased front axle, greased front end and wheel bearings, replaced balljoints, greased both steering zerks, re-greased spindles, idler shafts, and dual pulley. Lubed up deck lift linkage and FWD/REV shaft bushings. Installed E3 plugs, fuel filter, oil filter (Kohler xtra capacity) and put some synthetic oil in the engine. Topped off trans fluid. Did this over the past week to take care of the initial services at 170 hours. Even if it didn't NEED it, I did it, just to make sure. You just never know.... Only thing left is hydro filter, which PO said was done at the 100hr service interval.

At the end of the night (a few loads were hauled after dark), I had some free time while the wife and daughter went to town. Used that time wisely. Ripped off the cheapo "Series 2000" sticker along the back fender pan and drilled holes to mount LED tail lights! No pics of the lights yet...need to run a power feed for them, then they're ready to go. Really made the tractor look less cheap than it did with the sticker'd stripe and fake lights.
