Finally had a day without rain here in the St. Louis area. I've owned this 122, my first cub, for a few weeks but have barely been able to use it. Its been killin' me!
I rebuilt the carburetor on my 122 after I found gas pouring out of the air cleaner. My first ever rebuild of anything...so far so good! Replaced the plug and plug wire and bought an in-line fuel filter to hopefully add in the near future. AND FINALLY GOT SOME SEAT TIME! I used my 122 and cart to take some straw and feed down to the duck coop. I also transported my new 1 bottom plow down to the back yard. Now I just need to find an affordable sleeve hitch / 3 point hitch to put on this baby... |
Thanks Diz!
Great pics, guys! :beerchug: |
This weekend I wanted to pull the transaxle and clutch assembly out of my parts tractor so I could start building it for my puller. It took me four hours to get the whole thing out. I wasn't able to drive the spiral pins out of the drive shaft coupler so I ended up cutting off the tunnel cover and sliding the whole assembly backwards. I tried PB Blaster, heat, nothing worked and I didn't want to break the input shaft on the transaxle. I was able to get the drive shaft separated from the transaxle once I had it out. Luckily this was just a parts tractor, I hope my other gear drive tractors don't give me as much trouble because I won't be able to cut those ones.

Mowed the 3 acres of law with the 127 tonight about 2 hours of seat time.
ihnick was right! those deestone tires wont work without tubes. Picked up tubes at Tractor supply tonight and installed them and the deestones on the 86. They look too good for that cub. May get moved to the 102:) I did a small weld repair on the hood of the 73. The inside cross brace cracked and broke. I mig welded it back in position. Cleaned it up and rattle caned some touch up. It really made the hood fit a lot tighter on the rubber anti-rattle washers. Regards, Chris |
Had to replace the needle in my carb. My fuel pressure was a little high and damaged it. Ordered a few extra to have some spares.
