Are you going to make any additional kits for the SGT's?

Sam Mac 07-07-2013 07:26 AM

I'm working on something, should know if I can make it work this week, stay tuned.

WOOS1 07-08-2013 07:18 PM

No the design is good. The problem is that it is costing me too much to get them cut and machined locally. I’m talking with someone at the moment that can cut them with a laser so it would be a one shot job. Should be ready to let you guys know something soon.:beerchug:

Rear End Brace

I was fortunate enough to get a brace kit for Sam.I got it installed today and I just wanted to send out a great big thank you to Sam.The kit is spot on,well built and everything one would need to install it.The difference in the frame stiffness is well noticeable and now when I'm pulling firewood to the house I wont have all of the frame flexing I had before. Thanks again Sam you have come up with a very nice kit that solves those aluminum tranny blues.:beerchug:

Guys just want to let you know that the braces are now available from Xtreme. You can find them in the new items area. I do still have 4 sets for the GT’s so if you want to save a couple bucks get them before they are gone.:beerchug:

Sam, is this your design? Did you have to drill holes in the frame with your version?

Sam Mac 07-22-2013 06:42 AM

What Aaron calls a Race Brace is his design, the SGT and the GT brace are my design no drilling of the frame required.

KayakDon 07-22-2013 08:18 AM

with a hitch?

Hi Sam, Will your brace work on my 2182 with a hitch with EARS? Looks like they use the same bolt holes on each side. Thanks, Don

What hitch have you got? I know it will work with the factory 3 point. CAD and I put one on his 2284, sorry but this is the best pic I have.

hhc70 07-22-2013 09:17 AM

It works on my 1572 that has a Bill Ruegg 3 point. I made it work hard this weekend. I pulled out 40' of hedge that we were sick of looking at. No funny frame twisting movements at all with Sam's brace kit on, and I did do some good hard pulls with it.

From the description i think he is asking about the bottom bracket with ears from extreme.

http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part.../CC-29-010.htm

Just guessing it prolly wouldn't with out cutting and welding.

KayakDon 07-22-2013 03:49 PM

Yes Bracket like AJ said in above message

http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part.../CC-29-010.htm

Could either the hitch, or your torque arm be heated and bent so they would over lap and bolted through both, Or is this going to be a cut and weld project ?
Thanks, Don

Somebody would be cuttin' 'n weldin'!! :bigthink:

Post a pic of your hitch and I figure out how to make it work.

Hi Sam, I'm going to add a sleeve hitch to my 2182 with the electric winch like you suggested in a differant thread, I have not installed yet due to the tractor is in a differant state from where I am.This is the hitch I bought from Xtream for my aluminum rear end. Now that I'm going to be pulling a bottom plow with this set up, I thought now is a good time to "bullet proof" the rear end with your brace. I think both hitch and brace use the same bolt, furthest one back on your brace, and "EAR" of hitch. Maybe I'm wrong about the bolt used. I would really like to use both to keep my rearend from ending up in my food plot! Any suggestions?

This is an easy fix. I did the same thing on this 1572. Just had Aaron move the tabs out 3/8" on each side, it fit like a glove. If you already have the hitch you could cut off part of the case brace and just use the 2 forward holes in the axle tubes doubt that it would make a big difference.

Will any of these braces work on an 1811?

Yep, the GT brace fit's your tractor. This is what the proto type looked like. The production piece is a little nicer.
