What do I need to be looking at when it comes to spindle bolts? What/how does it wear out there, and how can I repair it?

Actually I apologize Dan, when I typed that up I didn't realize the NF's have a different spindle than the WF's. The WFs have a spindle bolt through the axle bushing, and that bolt clamps the spindle on top and bottom (so that the bushing rotates in the axle housing). Mine were left loose, so my spindles and spindle bolts had a ton of wear, as they basically rotated/vibrated against each other. I bought a grade 8 bolt through McMaster and cut it down and drilled it for a cotter pin.
Looking at the 147 steering you won't need to worry about that. As long as your spindle feels snug in the axle housing. Looking at the 147 front axle diagram, it doesn't show a separate bushing for the spindle to ride in.....I can't say as I haven't worked on a NF, but that seems odd to me. Someone with NF experience will have to advise on that.
