Yes we are!!

But we still didn't get to the 107!!

Oh well. Lance learned a lot while I was here, and now he has some more tools to help him along the way! He'll be fine. :beerchug:

On a separate note, I know how so many of you guys feel now. I've had a full blown shop at my disposal for so long, I forgot how long it takes when you don't have a huge air compressor, bolt bin, big huge box full of every tool imaginable, blasting cabinet, welders, torch, on and on at your disposal. I had to sit back and think a few times how I was going to do something without the tools needed! Like when we went to drive the roll pins out of the driveshaft. I have a set of Blue Point roll pin punches, and a set for the air hammer. Easy peezy. Lance... had nothing. So, we made a trip to Lowe's (a mile away) and found a set. Bought it, came home.... but they were so short! So I used a socket and 3/8" extension to add length so I could reach through the frame. Still took over an hour to get the first pin out! At home, it might have taken 3 min.

A little humbling is good for you every once in awhile! :beerchug: Do you still use the garage in town you had your business at? When are you heading home?

I just recently moved everything out. Decided it was time to get the dead elephant off my back. It was expensive to have and not be making any money out of. I have most things at home now, and some in storage. I don't know if I'm going to build another shop, or what. I'm kind of undecided at the moment.

Heading home Saturday.

I know your not far from Maryland Travis. Maybe we can meet up on my next trip.

Ya, give me aheads up next time!:beerchug: I've thought about it since I saw you were in the area. I didn't realize you were going to be here this long. I would say let's try and meet on your way out Sat but I saw on the other thread you are meeting EricR and his Dad and I know how I get when I'm ready to get home! Plus I got a brake job to do Saturday, of course it could also wait til Sunday!:bigthink::beerchug:

As a crow flies, Lance isn't that far from me. There just aren't enough brides or tunnels across the Potomac!

Travis, when are you coming to NC? :biggrin2:

ACecil 09-16-2016 10:16 AM

Sounds like you and Lance stayed busy, Jonathan!

ShrewCub

That's like the movie from here to eternity! No easy way to get there...

J-Mech 09-16-2016 03:38 PM

Thanks guys!

Yeah Travis, no easy way from here to there.

I'll be back here in a few years. If I didn't have so many kids, it would happen more often. :biggrin2:

As soon as the snow flies!:biggrin2:

I try real hard not to head east of my house but I had to go with Dad to Tysons today so he could pick up his nused truck. The only good part is I got to drive the Charger back. Too much traffic to have any fun. :bash2: I really wanted to drop it into 2nd and pass him with that hemi singing at 7 grand! :beerchug:
