Do you have the machinery to drill and tap the shaft or did you have it done by a machine shop? I had to pay $35 to get mine drilled and tapped. Just curious. I may send my other one to you :)

I drilled it while the pump was together in my drill press. The fixture that I made to work on the pump held it nice and steady. Then I just tapped it by hand. Did all this before it took the pump apart to overhaul it. The shaft is case hardened so you have to go easy drilling it at first and you need a good drill bit and cutting oil.

Too bad you didn't have this when I was working on my 2072! I could have just traded you part for part! Nice job!:beerchug:

Very nice Sam, Thank's for all the pictures too! I'd like to try my hand at doing that job somtime this summer. I got a 2182 w/ a broken housing and would like to get it fixed. Im sure I'll be refering back to this thread from time to time for assistance. Thank's Again! :beerchug:

You may want to look at this one also. This was my 2182 with a broken housing.

Bill Your lucky I already had a trailer hitched up or that 2182 would been down here with me. That would have been a sweet little swap from the 1864.:biggrin2:
