As I've been working on this 1650, I've discovered that much of it has been repainted. I can see that they masked off the hood decals and painted around them. The hour meter says 560 hours. But I think it's been well maintained--it has some newer parts on it, and I can see some electrical repairs, not necessarily highest quality, but OK. And it did sit in a barn for 12 years.

Congrats on your 1650 score!

Working on the 1650. Pulled the oil pan tonight and used it as a jig to weld the cradle mod. Cleaned up the cradle and primed it. Waiting for the new iso mounts to reinstall. Meanwhile, will pull the steering gear and clean/adjust/repair as needed. Rebuilt the carb, installed new points and static timed the engine. My phone died tonight so no pics this post. Sorry.

1650 Going back together. Started it up for the first time, and it took off like gangbusters. Runs nice. Some more work yet to be done, adding a lift, need to fill the tires, change the hydro fluid and filter, etc. Thinking about replacing front tires with some ribs. New decals on the tins. Need to install them on the dash tower sides.
