didn't get a chance to take any pics, but the snow blade came off and the deck went on the GT2544... got the spring service done. I can't believe it, but I saw 4 people cutting grass today, that's the earliest I've ever saw it being cut in southern WV.

Did some major landscaping today. Used the 1811's blade to bulldoze, scrape, and level out old area that was landscaped.
This is my lawn a couple years ago to give you some idea what it looks like in full bloom http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...8_629944_o.jpg Cut out the bushes, and moved all the landscaping bricks out of the way. http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ctor/004-1.jpg Getting ready to start bulldozing with the 1811. Worked really well. I found the best going was to let the blade rise on its own from the load then back up and scrape the remainder flat. http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ctor/005-2.jpg Finished product. It looks rough right now, but when Im done with it and the yard is in full bloom its going to look pretty smart. Plus its going to be a lot easier to mow around. Also the green stain on the bricks looks much worse in the photo then it does in person. Going to acid wash the bricks to get them clean. http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ctor/006-2.jpg |
hope to be done with winter

The next one is my parking lot all cleaned up. used the tractor and plow and backed dragged the stones around. Seem to work great. Call it spring Feaver. just finsh it up last night. Come in doors to fined out that we got 1 to 3 inchs of snow on the way. Good thing the plow is still on the tractor. Attachment 9452 last one if of how I had the plow set up. Put three 45lb weights on top of the plow. and it back dragged just fine. work just great. Try pushing the stones, but it just wanted to dig in. Attachment 9453 All in all its been a great time on the cub. Have fun!!!! |

Since it's raining again . I have been wanting to repaint the grill mesh and touch up the IH emblem on the 1282 since I put the bumper. They looked dull compared to te shiny bumper. So I got that done today. Wish I could have been out doing some fun stuff like the rest of you guys, everybody's picture's look great, nice job everyone. The last picture of the 1282 is from before I painted them. :biggrin2: I also went through a column I had for the "O", did the bearing upgrade at the top and preped and primed it for paint.

Here are pics of the 107 that I am going to rebuild this year for my new snowthrower. It gives me a new beat down every day, but Im slowly getting it apart without destroying anything not easily replaceable. That makes things so much trickier. I used up one full can of PB blaster on it so far.

A79fordman I was wishing today that I had some way to weigh down the blade so it would not float so much. Does the three 45lb weights make a big difference?
