Great stuff guys!
Bruce, nothing like getting "muck stuck" to make things interesting! Glad the wife could come get you unstuck . . . DX3 - Nice looking paint . . . I'm getting ready to paint my 42" deck - I'm thinking I'll just ship it to you :biggrin2: Buck - Duke's right, get your wiring problem moved over into the problem solving forum where it'll get noticed and Roland or one of the other guys will get you fixed up toot-sweet. Welcome to OCC! |
Took the 451 blower off the 2072 last night only to fin that when i removed the drive belt the front PTO has the bearing going out of it. Now I'm not sure what to do as I use the front PTO for two things. Running the 451 and a 60" haban deck. So I'm at the cross roads do I put in the newer 6" PTO so that I spin my blower at the proper speed, which is cheaper than the OEM one. Or do I spend the money to keep it OEM and still spin the blower slower, which works but not as good. I guess I just dont know if I put the larger one on would I need to change the pulleys on the Haban deck? Or would spinning it faster do a better job with out harming my deck?

Spent the morning out working on the yard in this beautiful spring weather.
I had a old red wishing well sitting in my front yard that was falling apart and dry rotted. I used the blade on the 1811 to push over the well, then brake it into pieces. Once that was done I used fast straps and attatched them to the pieces and the tractor and drug them back to my burn pile. One of the reasons it was all rotted was at some point someone had filled it with dirt. I used the blade to smooth out the dirt and the real wheels to compact it down. Turned out quite nicely. I love getting to play with my tractor. http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ractor/021.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ractor/022.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ractor/024.jpg http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ractor/026.jpg |

Was getting ready to load the trailer for the plow day on Saturday and the neighbor came over and asked if I would plow his garden. It turned out pretty good considering I've done nothing more than set it up per the manual.

It hit 56 degrees here today:buttrock:. Got the cubs out of the shop and cleaned house. The 147 wasn't running to well, backfiring through the carb, so I did the static timing (Matt G.'s) and it was way off. Took me a while to get it dialed in right, but finally did. Went to start it up and nothing:bigthink: I finally figured out it had no gas in it:bash2:. Filled it up and got ready to start it and low n behold gas was pouring out of the carb:bigeyes:. Just rebuilt carb and has been fine since rebuild(couple week's ago). After taking it apart for the 3rd time I figured out it was the brass float, took it off and shook it, was filled with gas:beer2:. Stole the float off a k161 and now she's good to go!! Also threw the 6.5's on the 71 and I like the look. Video to come shortly of 147 & rear blade:biggrin2:
