I had a rear flat a couple yrs back with the wife onboard, kept it upright long enough to slow down and pull off into the grassy ditch along side the paved secondary highway but dumped it once we down to about 5mph cause the tail end was sliding down the slope and I couldnt reach the ground on the low side.... that was B1TCHY kind of day till I found the beer store I tell ya;) |

Lance, That doesn't sound like a fun ride!:bigeyes::bigeyes: |
I still have the CB750 and plan to restore it. It still runs good but needs to be put back original. It is a 1970 JDM Model. KPH speedometer and all. I had fun with it back in the 70s when people saw it with a speedometer that go to 240 thanking it was MPH.

I immediately gave it to my Gr daughter to restore. My son and her made it real purdy ( stock) except for the exhaust system. A really nice NOS exhaust is very spendy, if available so it is a bit loud with 4 shorties. But something about that little thing going through the gears @ redline. it is quite a nice song. The Gr daughter still enjoys riding it occasionally.:beerchug: |
I can get stock replacement pipes for my 750 but I do not thank 350 replacement pipes can be had. It is going to cost 3 or 4 times more to restore my 750 than it did to buy it new.

I was in the bike shop on Tuesday this week. Had an old Honda CB in there working on it. I think it was a 450. Putting new headers and muffler on it. I commented that I didn't figure they were still available. Donny (the shop foreman) laughed. He said, "Oh yeah. You can still get a lot of these parts. Not from Honda, but they still make a lot of parts. These bikes are making a comeback now." So, unless you are wanting genuine Honda, yeah.... you can still get a lot of stuff.
I'm getting ready to order some parts for my '83 GL1100. Have to get aftermarket, but I haven't had trouble finding parts. Prices aren't bad at all. |

What kind of parts do you need for your 1100? I had a 81 1100 that put a lot of miles on and it was still running strong when I sold it. I have a bunch of parts for the GL1000 and a few for the 1100. This was my GL1100.
