Im not sure what its called but I had some trim? that fits on the edge of sheet metal. I had that on mine. I think I took it off though. I'll see if I can take a picture and show you tomorrow/sunday maybe.

Yeah, don't worry about what others think. I am surprised I haven't had any pm's about my "982D" that never existed, LOL. I personally absolutely love what you have done with the colors, and I myself plan to do a WF just like it when I have the chance. It's yours and you can do to it what you want. :beerchug:

I think your tractor looks awesome! Really like the color scheme! I had thought about doing my 1200 in red,but decided to keep it original colors cause thats how I remember it as a kid,but I have a 1211 hiding at my dads that going to turn red someday!. Its your tractor ,paint it like you want if someone doesn't like it......tough! its YOURS not theirs!

Here are some shots for Larry on the hood bumpers. As I said this may be a little hooky and not sure I will keep them but every time I open the hood and it bangs the new paint off the grill or hood I had to do something even for the short term. They are very small rubber grommets with a slit thru one side and the just pushed on to the lip of the hood.
-I did get the guard for the elec lift mounted last night.
- installed the new champion spark plug gaped at.023 inch.
-Installed the gas line and stainless clamps
-Installed the other tank band that need paint touched up. Used some stainless Phillips head screws and 1/4 -20 stainless nuts. Looks real clean.
-Installed the pivot plate, from the moving part of the lift down to the cross rod.
Added a new rubber grommet into the hol for the rod to release the hydro valves and stuck the rod in there mine is not functional at this time.
- Exhaust -The thought is to come off the block with stainless 1 inch pipe jump up to a reducer the a half coupling or full coupling which gets real close to 2 inch tubing. See picture. Have a 2 inch 304 stainless bright annealed tube bent in a 90 and flared to fit the coupling which is 1.90 inch, split it and put on a stainless clamp. Maybe put another 90 degree bend at the top of the 18 inch tall stack too? Also need to design and build a bracket plate to come off the top of the head for support of the vertical pipe. Pipe guy says 2 weeks before he can work on the exhaust:(

I may try starting it with a straight pipe horizontal as a temp exhaust.

Have to go to a meeting with out local Bee club. I took off about 8 supers at 30 lb each, last weekend goldenrod and mixed flower honey.

Thanks for the pictures Chris! :beerchug: I think it will work for a temporary thing like you said but I think they may eventually fall off. I did found the trim thing I was talking about. I put it on and took some pictures for you. One other problem I have had similar to the hood banging on the grill is the snow thrower chute would come up and hit the lights. I busted one out once. I just need to remember not to go so high.

After looking at the pictures I notice mine is a pig, lol. It could use some scrubbing. :D

More thinking into it. I would think you could make a limiter inside some how. Maybe a bungee cord or chain that would keep the hood from going all the way open and banging on the grill. Just an idea.

I am considering that same thing for my nephews 73. It can be used on both ends, front and rear. A great idea. :beerchug:

I have an idea for your hood stop. As soon as I can figure a way to explain or better yet show you. It will be something like an old auto glove box stop.
