I ended up restoring the original rims that came with the tractor. 4 coats of paint, 4 new sealed heavy duty bearings, new valve stems, and 2 new 3 rib Ag tires. Trying to decide if I want to leave the wider ones on there, or use these restored rims with Ag tires? Hmmmm

I like the wider tire. Have them on my 127. A good popular tire with Cubs.

Well.........I said I was done, but I was just taking a break! So I’m working on the dual rear wheels on my “70”. Just need to sand down, paint, and mount the tires. Just finished up painting the dual wheel spacers.

Man I want a dually setup so bad. Once I buy a deer property, that will be one of my first items is a GT with PTO so I can run a tiller for small food plots and dually wheels. Nice job!
|
You will constantly have wheel tracks in your freshly tilled ground w/duals.
Would not make for a very good looking till job when finished. If anything, you will need some weight up front. Them tillers are heavy! |

Once I’m done, I will post up some finished pictures. |

Got some pictures of my new air cleaner base (larger air filter, better air flow), new air cleaner cover, new custom made spark plug wire (stranded copper core), and re-jetted carburetor:

Got the dually adapters and dually adapters lug bolts on:
Attachment 101959 Attachment 101960 Attachment 101961 Attachment 101962 FYI, for those of you who didn’t know, you can NOT mount the outer dual rims/tires with the mower deck on. The outer duals hit the mower deck wheels/mounting bracket. So the mower deck must come off to mount the outer duals. |
Nice work. Can’t wait to see the tractor with duels!

Dueling wheels.….
This ought to be interesting!!:bigthink: |
Dually Adapter Part Numbers
Had a request for the part numbers for the dually adapters, end plates, and lug nut/lug bolt set. These dually adapters are made for different rim/tire combinations, so that being said, the following parts number are for the “6-12” rim/tire setup ONLY. These are the 7” option.
These are purchased through www.extrememotorworks.com. • CC-01-001-700W (round 7” dually adapters 2 are included) • CC-01-050 (round cover end plates 2 are included) • CC-01-048 (Cub wheel stud/nuts 10 are included) I hope this helps! |
Dually Wheels are Installed

Finally got the dually wheels installed today! I also added valve stem extenders from the inner tires to one of the wheel weight holes so I can check both pressures from the outside wheel. One picture shows the stainless steel braided valve stem extender and a second picture of the outer rim face shows the two “Cub Cadet” valve stem caps.
