I see the one hole in the pic. It does not look factory tho. Its oblonged a little and sharp edges like someone tries to ream with a drill bit.

Most times those holes are put there, this is one of them, have you removed the whole shaft?

Yes, Removed whole shaft for prep before paint. Like I said. Was nice hole was there to get the pin out but just didnt look like it was factory drilled is all.

Looking good!:beerchug: Somehow I missed this thread earlier.... great to see your son involved... keep him wrenching.. it will do him well later in life!:beerchug: The 100 is well worth saving.. one of my favorites of all time!:beerchug:

I know you said you wanted an "O" but the 100 is a much improved machine if you are actually going to run it and use it.. The "O's" are still cool though... only cause they were the first!:biggrin2:

That is a factory hole. My 100 has the same holes for spirol pin access. It looks as though the holes were put in before the frame rails were formed.

Yes sir! Well frame wise anyway. The engine ran great so that will just get new externals, carb, points, tune and head gasket. The rear worked as it should also so just a service on that. New clutch, will rebuild PTO. New steering box and column. And new wire harness and VR

That make sense. I think someone has used the access hole before and dinged it up some.

Thanks Jay. It's a fun project for both of us so far!
