Sam,
Thanks! I will check with Jeff. Yes thats the one I need. Also have to find the pulley, since the ID is all wallowed out! I may check Mc Master Carr for that?
Regards,
Chris

Put up a picture of the pulley, I might be able to make a sleeve for it.

PM sent

Folks,
Here are some pictures of the shaft and pulley that I damaged on the tiller gear box.

Regards,
Chris

Could you get a picture of the pulley with the good end of the shaft in the pulley bore? It's hard to tell how worn it is with the "eaten up" shaft.

I "saved" the cast iron pulley. Bored and reamed it to 7/8", made a sleeve and cut the keyway deeper. I also made a custom key. :beerchug:

Jeff,
Thanks for the work on this cast pulley restoration and the pictures. Looks real good to me!
If it ever dries out I may be able to till the garden.
Regards,
Chris

Chris' repaired pulley and new long gearbox shaft get mailed to him tomorrow USPS Priority Mail. I just got it late last week and fixed it ASAP. :beerchug:

Ok thanks for the update.

Great work Jeff.
I always admire someone that can figure out a good fix versus replacing with a known good one.
Way to much stuff goes for scrap because it is deemed "easier" to replace.

Thanks, I like the older stuff and some parts just can't be replaced. It took some work but it will work well. The sleeve is held in place by the keyway so it should be good as new. :beerchug:
