Is that the tape or the wind speed coming out of her mouth... j/k.:biggrin2:

What happens in the tractor shed stays in the tractor shed . Your wife dosn't need to know everything. :beerchug:
|
I love the idea of Bilge Blowers to help cool the cub's engine compartment. That's great creativity.
|
LOL as long as you don't place them next to the muffler :Explode:

The week of the blade.
Well I have finished the last coat of paint on the blade, now the waiting game.
72 hrs and I can start putting her back together. I'm happy with the way it turned out looks good and worth the time I spent sand blasting it. Can't wait to get it together. OH I forgot I still need to find the IH sticker. |
Looks awesome High Speed! Great job, if your saddened by the project coming to an end I would let you keep practicing on mine! Lol :biggrin2:
|
Great job!
|
Finished the blade, just need a few touch up's on the paint and bolts for the scraper.OH and the decal. All n all it came out good.

I have been working on my 1450 dual stick everyday and as soon as I am finished I will do my blade. It looks like it has had little use and been stored indoors.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps7531bc94.jpg I have not had it mounted yet and can't wait to see how it works. I just got a 1050 with a blade mounted and been playing with it. Will be nice to have power lift and tilt. I think mine will be nothing like the work you put into yours. Good Job!! You going to be worried about scratching it? |
Nightow , Are you using the blade on a NF Cub ?? That is what the subframe is for , a NF Cub , and there is no quick attach pins.
Sorry if i missed it in your post about a NF , just giving you a heads up. |
ROfL. Yea I seriously just noticed that. I got this as payment for so computer work and never even thought about it till I finished her and then SH#@ myself. I have no idea what to do now. Lol . Well it's a nice looking paper weight.
|
cant I just get a wide sub-frame and lift bar?
|
I got one that would fit your machine. We could just trade.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps444c2251.jpg You could do your restore all over again. Pickup might be a problem... How far are you from the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia? |
If you were closer I would seriously consider that.:bigthink:
|
subframe?????
Ok I have a extra sub frame for a wide frame mower deck, the only difference I see between this one and the real wide frame subframe are the the holes to mount it to the blade are smaller. Has anyone done this.or do you think it will work to just drill out larger holes and attach it to the blade?????

Haven't updated in a while, Member Rescue11 and I have done a lot to the old girl. Replaced head gasket, and all the engine gaskets except the Crankcase ones they were good. while it was apart honed down the Heads and cleaned them and the valves Ect. Cleaned the engine and frame up. Added a electronic fuel pump , oil pressure gauge, lighter:biggrin2: new LED safety flashers and a implement light. Relocated the hour meeter to the right side just under the fuel tank.. drained and purged the fuel tank. New 5w-20 synthetic oil and IH Hy-Tran + filters. New fuel filters. Greased everything. New plugs and wires. New point saver. New solenoid and coil.and New points. Put on the winter tires and chains + 200lbs of wheel weights. 25lbs IH weights on the inside of each tire and 75lbs cub cadet weights on the outside of each tire.
We also finished up the blade came out great. Cant wait for some snow. |
