What do you have for an engine in the puller? It looks like a cool toy. |
The puller has a 20hp opposed twin briggs & stratton that I built. It is a fun toy and a joy to pull that 20hp is a beast and its still getting broke in(about 1h 30m run time last i checked). We have a class in our pulling group for opposed twins only and its a fun class cause we all have the same gears and about the same motor except mine.

Sounds COOL, love to see some pics of it.

if you look in the thread of the cub pullers I have a picture of it on there its under Post your pullers here thread on page 6. Its not the up to date photo but it gives you the idea. When I get it out I will post pictures of it, mainly cause I changed alot on it from that picture.
As far as the motor gos its the only one I know of unless somebody else built one cause briggs never made a factory 20hp horizontal in the flathead design and believe me it took some work to get the oil dipper to clear the oil pan cause the stroke is bigger, the 18hp is 42 cubic inchs and the 20hp are 46 cubic inchs which is why that motor has so much power. they are actually changing the rules for the class because of me you are going to be limited to 46cubic inchs cause the class was 20hp and under flatheads only. |

Very COOL! Never went to a tractor pull have to add it it to my to do list. Love to see some pics of the B&S when you get a chance. Cool that you built it to the limit of the rules. LOL that now they are gonna limit it to what you built. I used to be an Auto Crosser and built a 65 Corvette to the class limit, cleaned house for a year with it. :biggrin2: Sam |
Sam Mac i will make a not of it but it looks like a normal briggs and i wanted to look like that the only thing that looks off is the crank pto end is a little long cause its a vertical crank but i will get some pictures of it next time i got out side cause i can take them were the tractor sits
|
Sam Mac,
I posted a picture of the 20hp briggs motor in the pulling thread of post ur pullers, last page |

I went out in the dark with a flashlight to read mine. Yours is earlier. My serial # 703702 I was hoping they brothers! |
lol it didn't have the tiller when i bought it but it had a 44c deck and a 54" blade and chains but i traded the blade for the tiller. then found the blade thats on it in a garage sale this fall and they practicly gave it to me.
|
Can't beat that!:beerchug:

no they had the blade priced at $15.00 and they were missing the rod to lift it so i told them that asked if they would take less and they said $7.50 since it was missing parts!! lol
|
Lol
Really can't beat that!! |
