Hydraulic lift valve leaking
 

Yup! Tested it today...drove the 1641 around for awhile, raised and lowered the deck several times and checked for leakage...dry as a bone!! :beerchug:

One thing I noticed was that when I raise and lower the deck, the hydro doesn't growl when I get to the upper or lower limit like it did before. It's nice and quiet now. The relief valve must be doing its job.:bigthink:

After testing and fixing the (leaking) relief valve, I would suggest to other Cub owners, that if your hydro groans or growls when you raise or lower your implement (deck in this case) there is likely a problem with the hydraulic lift relief valve. It's an easy fix! :biggrin2:
