Listen, I can't help you if you don't cough up some info.
I need: 1.) The engine application, or model spec numbers. I'd rather have both. 2.) A picture of your set up I'm still going to say that the spring won't affect how it runs, only how it regulates speed. Where's the video you said you would post? |

So... I see what you have now. That helps. That throttle set up is the oddball one, which is likely why the discontinued the spring. That, and lets be honest, it's a 30+ year old motor.
Lets go back to the hardware store spring comment..... when I said that, I meant like a completely off the wall spring. Like too big, too short, too stiff. But in this case, a hardware store spring is likely what I would do... but I understand how the governor needs to work, so I can find a spring close enough to do the job. Just because the end of your spring looks "crimped" doesn't mean that it isn't an original spring. The end may have just worn off of it and they spun up another coil and bent the hook on it. Doing so wouldn't affect anything, as long as they rechecked the high idle no load. SO...... back to the REAL issue. Why do you think the spring needs replaced? How about a picture of the spring on your engine, in the tractor. This is the last time I'm saying this..... I really don't think it sounds like the spring is the issue. I'm pretty sure at this point you are going on a wild goose chase after a discontinued part that isn't going to do anything to fix the issue you have. |

Here are some pictures. When I tried to increase the rpm from 2500 to 3400 when the engine is under a load the throttle will go wide open and floods the engine but if I put it back to 2500 it runs great 👍 again thanks for the help

That spring is fine. Nothing wrong with it at all. BUT.... it is in the wrong hole on the governor arm. You need to move it in to the third hole at least. Attachment 95995 Honestly, the throttle cable is in the wrong hole too. It's supposed to be in the top hole. |
