Polarizing VR
 

If I do have to replace my VR with a new one (Part# IH-121577), are there any special procedures when hooking it up for the first time, other than the obvious of getting the wires hooked correctly to the right terminals? Does it have to be polarized or anything like that?

Hook up the wires correctly and the generator will polarize when you hit the starter switch.

Excellent, thank you RLause! I saw a YouTube video of someone installing a new VR and it looked like a confusing process. Glad to hear it’s just simply connecting the wires and hitting go!
