Does anyone know how the is blade is intended to be installed? I recently bought a 1215 that came with this blade but I'm not sure if I have it mounted correctly.

Are 14, 15, and 16 interchangeable or are you supposed to use more than set of links? And this connects to the lifting arms correct?

Right now I've got 14 (the smallest one) connected directly to the lifting arms and it seems that the height it correct. Are 20 and 21 even needed? It seems like that would make it hang too low...

Also, how important is number 30? The website has it listed as a "guide plate", but I seem to be missing this piece. It looks like it would be relatively easy to weld something up if necessary. I'm guessing that the rod goes through the front mounting holes of the tractor and the plate rides inside the frame of 29 to limit the lateral motion? Does that sound right?

Sorry to jack the thread with a bunch of silly questions, but it sounds like some of you have been down this path before.

The correct Front Blade for a 1215 would be 190-424-100.

I was comparing the picture of the blade assembly provided by the OP to the two parts diagrams shown in this thread. In assuming the parts diagram are correct, it appears the blade assembly is incorrectly assembled.

It looks like the entire long bar section behind is attached to the blade and bracket upside down.

I hope this saves someone with a BFH from getting into a pissing match with the blade when he installs it on the tractor!:biggrin2:
