Thank you Sam Mac for the information. I checked out the project that Zippy1 is doing. So I take it that the cork gasket everyone is referring to is the round gasket between the hydro transmission and the rear end? Please forgive me for my ignorance; this is my first hydro. LOL.

Also, along with the leaks, the hydraulic lift cylinder seems to let the deck down after a few days. Could this be due to the leak in fluid in the system or does the lift cylinder need attention as well?

Yep the cork gasket is between the hydro pump and the transmission, very common leak when they get old. I wouldn't worry about the deck lift leaking down over a couple days.

Yup, replaced the cork gasket, and now it's dry as a popcorn fart.:biggrin2:
