I was in a meeting once with the Development head of a large midwest manufacturer. They were always testing out new tractors/designs.

His comment was that there is no better stress test for a design than a 16 yr old male summer employee that is told to just go mow the grass. He seemed to feel it was a very good way to find out what will break.

I have heard a story from two sources about when IH was developing the Original they gave several test models to young boys and said try to make them break and none of them had any serious breakdowns. Guess that type of test is still going on in some places.
