been there
grease fitting doesn't unscrew. Torch heat and pry it up. If no torch, a electric/air powered cut off wheel. If not..hack saw cuts on a few sides and whack cut openings with a chisel.
A reminder* 44A decks are different from other 44" in most all parts look up books/pages. btw I'm sending you a pm. |

I GOT IT!!!!!
http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1b14fab9.jpg I put the locking nut back on the shaft, upside down and tightened it down to where it was smooth with the top of the shaft. Took a !/2 inch drive socket and put it upside down on top of the nut so I gained as much surface area as possible. Drove 3 chisels under the pulley and on top of the bolts holding the thing to the deck. Sprayed it with PB Blaster, smoked a cigarette.... started tapping the socket and low and behold the thing started moving!! Finished up with a smallish crow bar alternating bolts and tapping. Easy peezy :) http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5d87b07b.jpg I'm off to ebay to get a new pulley!! Thanks y'all I'd also like to thank my dad who taught me the value of 'tapping' rather than 'beating'. |
Why bother trying to E-bay one...... just get one from CCC. They're only $25.

I've got the site bookmarked for future reference. I had a $10 off coupon thru PayPal/EBay so the pulley cost $13.85. :beerchug:

Hey you need a new belt. Join the crowd that focus only on the job at hand and end up a little short.
