Finally got em out but one....I had to use a ez out on two but the last one broke the ez out off just above the top of the bottom set screw....:bash2:.I think this is the most annoying thing Ive probably ever done.Right up there with the time I dropped a small socket down my freshly built big block chevy...:beatdeadhorse:

It gives you quite a sense of accomplishment when you finally get it off there. Sounds like you ain't quite accomplished it yet though. Good luck with that easy-out! They are some really hard metal. Hope you can wiggle it out of there.

Been there on the dropping parts thing. Put new Bilsteins on my 2500HD recently. Dropped a socket, and spent more time finding that dang thing than I did putting on all 4 shocks! At least I found it... The funny part was that I dropped it AFTER tightening the last bolt on the last shock, so I didn't really need it any more.

Well I finally got it off...From the looks of it someone had put blue locktite on the set screws...:bash::bash: I noticed that when I took a good look at set screws I managed to get out.I had a friend that owns a tool a die shop and he gave me tip on how to get that broke ez out out. He told me to go get a cheap carbide tipped masonry bit.Looks like a paddle on the end and use it to try to get the broken ez out out....and it worked like a charm...I was skeptical when he said it but I tried it and it worked...Fell like I just won the loto...

I've done that before with broken taps, but until now would never admit to it.
