Hi, still at it huh, Sam. Might as well start at the beginning, with an O. Onward Mike.:beerchug:

Got a set of pulleys for the deck and a spindle shaft. Now I need to pick up 4 bearings and put it back together.

Looks good Sam. I guess you can see I got another Cub this Summer. The Cub Cadet bug bit me again :)

It's been a while since I did anything on the O but today I got started with the disassembly. So far not one problem. Pics of the progress.

You know how it goes, before you know it, it turns into one of those out of control projects. I don't know yet how stupid I will get with this one. It won't be a museum quality resto job that I can assure you.

I've heard it called "mission creep". Good luck with it!

Yep the mission creep has started. Pulled the steering column out, it needs work. It's soaking in the parts washer. Pulled the clutch out, the friction material was cruddy, the disks were cruddy, explains the slipping in 3rd gear. Cleaned them up and did the 220 grit wet sand paper on a sheet of glass to get them nice. It's getting a new bearing at the end of the drive shaft, new oil seals for the axles (one is leaking) new cover gasket for the rear, new drive belt. So far that's all I've found wrong. Stood it on end and pressure washed the underside to make working on it a bit nicer.

Nice work Sam. You may already know this but you can get SKF seals 10049 for cheap at your local seal place. I got some bushings real cheap too that I had to drill for the grease hole but they are working good. Good luck with the reseal.
