Like I said before, with all of the options and such you have on there, and like what others have said, you would have spent close to what you paid putting one together like that and it's already done and ready to use. Hard to tell what the rest of the paint looks like, but the only thing I'd do is maybe paint the hood or find a nice hood and put on there and keep it the way it is.

Work her hard, that's what they are for.

Stitch, ya know, at first I thought :bigthink:"there is no way I'd pay that much" for a Cub Cadet. But the more I learn about this GREAT hobby, I think I may change my first impression. :Shocked:What you paid is really not too much for what you have. As already stated, try to find a plain jane model and purchase all the stuff that yours has. You could really easily go over what you have already paid. Some people may find super deals for real cheap but you really have to have the time, patience and the reserves of $$$ to complete a project like that. For those people, that's great. And maybe your next Cub will be that kind.

It boils down to what has already been said repeatedly. If YOU are happy then that is GREAT!:ThumbsUp:

Happy Cubbin'

Stitch,

If you ever feel like you paid too much, run over to your local box store and see what $1400.00 will get you there, then on the way home remember that a box store mower would be worn out in four years, and your grandkids will be fighting over who gets your 100 in 40 years.

If that doesn't put a smile on your face then watch epay for awhile and try to build the same tractor that you have there for less money... I doubt that you can do it.

If that still doesn't do it for you then climb on your 100 and do some work with it, if that dosen't make you smile then there is no hope for you!

Besides all that, none of it matters anyway, because now that you have yellow fever, you are going to go find yourself another old Cub Cadet and start building the 2nd tractor in your fleet. And by this time you can't tell me with a straight face that you haven't already thought about it. The biggest problem that you have now is, Original, Narrow Frame, Wide Frame, Quiet Line, or 82 series???

Tell me about it. My parents bought me a $2000 Husqvarna mower as a wedding gift a couple of years ago. The thing is constantly broke down, the blades won't engage if theres a single drop of water on the belt, and if you try and go up even the slightest incline it will just spin out and tear up the grass. I'd have sold the POS a long time ago if it wasn't for the fact that my dad would get pi$$ed about it.

Stitch,

I have to say I'd never have paid the price you did. But you have your moneys worth and in the end did not pay too much. Someone pointed out to you that you have all the goodies and more. Those same goodies priced out individually would have cost you a small fortune. Plus they were on the tractor and working. All you had to do is turn the key. So on one hand it sounds nuts to pay that much. On the other hand you got a good deal. He!! I paid $10.00 a piece just for NOS hydraulic lift spacers and another 10 for shipping. For those of you who don't know that's $40.00... for freaking spacers. So sleep well.. you got your moneys worth. - Peace -

Did you bget a decent deal

Stitch

With all you got on the tractor. And if you are happy with it I would say you got a good deal.
I paid more then some members would have paid for my 582, but when i saw it the price did not matter. Am I happy with my decision, you bet. I smile every time I use it.:biggrin2.gif:

Naa, the biggest problem he will have (if he is married) is justifying a second cub to his wife, lol. They are a little hard to sneak in and hide in the corner of the garage, if you know what I mean. I only plow snow with mine, and I'm looking forward to the snow coming..SO much fun!! My neighbors were impressed when I blasted through 9-10 inches of wet snow with my 149. Oh, and they're very appreciative when I go out and clean up the salt-laden snow the city plow leaves later, too. Congrats
