I looked at a 149 a while back w. deck which the man was asking $9oo. It seeemed high but I sort of know the the guy. He was a mechanic and everything he had was super maintained and looked almost as new. If I could a , Id have paid his price cause there just can be a better machine than it was. And it had never been altered or painted.

i would of prolly bought it, but then again i did pay 525 for a painted red (very poorly painted at that) chipping paint and all 102 . with headlights creeper and cig. lighter....and it didnt run at the time..... took the chance and its a great machine now.... i wouldnt worry about the pto to awful much. they are a easy fix and really not a whole lot that can go wrong with them.... see if ya can meet up and check it out first (maybe the rod is just out of adjustment

Cub Cadet Model 70 value?
Ok I think I have found one worth getting.
International Cub Cadet Tractor with 10 HP Kohler K 241AS Engine, 38" Deck, Single Bottom Plow, Extra set of tires and rims, Runs good, 3 speed, Original purchase receipt and Operator's Manuals, heavy duty solid tractor. $370 http://images.craigslist.org/5Le5Ic5...66259f1c65.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5L45I55...421df91bb2.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5G95F65...91e364156a.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5Ib5G45...96750e19bf.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5Ie5L35...5ca6fd156e.jpg Probably could talk them down some just want to know what you guys would give for this. |
That sounds like a good buy to me. At least in this area.
I paid $125 for my Brinly plow, and I see them for $100-150 all the time. So figure $100 for the plow, you get a Cub Cadet with a replacement engine (maybe newer than the tractor) and wheel weights for $270. A running tractor with a deck that you can mow with today, for $270 sounds good to me. Yes, there are plenty of guys on here that will tell you about the old widow who paid them to take away their 3 digit Original with 7 hours on the meter, and threw in a home made apple pie. No one brags about the $500 tractor that doesn't run. |
That's a great deal! It's a nice 70. The grill is from a 71.

That's a Sears plow and 3-point cobbled on there. I don't think those Sears plows bring what a Brinly does.
