I prefer age but I'll give my view in each situation
Tilling either Mowing. Ags (better in wet ground and on hills) Plowing Ags Snow blading or blowing either (with fluid in the tires) |
Why not run an ag on the RHS and a turf on the LHS that way you get the best of both worlds?:bash:......I'm just funnin', that would just be wrong in many ways.
Fonty, everyone has different opinions and different situations, so think about it for awhile. Life's not about making the right choice, because you won't always do that but it's more about making the choice right. Whatever you get will work--might take some adaptations (chains or weights), but it will still work out in the end (my vote is still for ags :biggrin2:). Keep us posted on your purchase! I bought a lightly used set of ags for my 149 this spring for plowing. I have been very happy with them. Awesome traction in the dirt. I can't believe the size of the rocks I was able to pull up in the garden I was working. They have also been great for mowing. They don't leave much of a mark in the grass and with the better traction, they actually dig up less grass than I did with the turfs. I can't comment on winter use yet though.
And yes, they do look much cooler too. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...9/DSCN2165.jpg |
Steve is right! Ags definitely make our cubs look cooler!

I love ags i ran them all year round. I dislike Tru-power their go for mower but if u push dirt they lose if not weighted down a lot in the snow they are worthless. If u plow with a moldbroad they work good because of the deep sidewall. Their are nice sets of tires on ebay at are a real ag thread. Deerstone and Duro are on ebay but if u a good made tire tru-power is the way to go. If u are just mowing get tru-powers
