Nice cubs, Yosemite Sam! Thanks for the pics.

RPalmer,
No way... Cubs are hard as heck to come by around here, I generally have to go out of state to get them. My brother and I went to the east end of Kentucky, can't think of the name (somewhere around a big state park) for a load of 7 of them one time... 14 hours each way (as per mapquest). I went to Florida once 1100 miles each way to pick up three non runners for $300.00 all three had three point hitches. Went to Chattanooga to pick up two Originals. My brother and I went to Wisconsin to get my 122 w/fel. Went to Michigan to get an Original once, I'll never do that again... Went down somewhere around Brian Millers place for Three Originals one time. I think the only one I ever bought in Illinois was a 71, just outside of Arcola Il. and I think thats about 120 miles... No wait, I went someplace east of here about 50 miles once for a 125 that I really got screwed on. So other than these three, I've only ever bought two others in Illinois. I think you guys have them all over there in Ohio, at least that's where all the good ones are... |

Yosemite Sam,
I have a 42" deck on my 149 that is needing some work. But if i can find another deck that was in desent shape i would just replace it. Worst part on mine is the spindles. They are really noisey and have some play in them. I keep pumping the grease in them and it keeps going.:biggrin2.gif: Attachment 1208 Attachment 1209 Dont know if these pictures help or not.Let me know. |
Hey Sam...what's the matter with Michigan? Must be a story untold...:bigthink:
I kinda like it here. (Not that I had a choice of where my family is!):coffee: |
Roblynn...
LMAO I'm sorry, I didn't intend to bash Michigan... What I meant was, I will never drive there and back all in one setting for just ONE Cub. |
Roblynn, all I have to say about Michigan is that I have to go to the UP every summer to pick up my stepson and it is cold and windy up there. Nto to mention everyone speaks this weird "yooper" language that is hard to understand. But I do have to admit that Grand Maris was beautiful and the beer at the Dunes Saloon/Great Lakes Brewing Company was incredible.
