You've been busy, Doug! Keep up the good work.

I want to get it back in roller before I work on the tin's . today I took the 8x12 rims off the 125 and saw they had tubes in them. one rim had a bad patch job on it , due to rust. I ground out the brass welds and re-welded the hole shut. its right at the valve stem so I'll need to drill a new hole.
I want the 8.5's on the 582 for plowing. the 10.5" I think are too wide for a 10 plow. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...0314121524.jpg I ues a brass hammer as a backer to fill the hole with weld. weld wont stick to brass. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...0314121536.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...0314121552.jpg http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...0314121625.jpg fronts http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...0314121846.jpg |
also got this set of tred plates from a 145 ( maybe? ) its a hydro. guys is parting out. the tins on it look really good.
I'll need to cut a little on one of them and add a bolt hole. but they should work. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/100_6995.jpg another part ready to go back on http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/a...t/100_6996.jpg |

How I took the stearing wheel off
I took the stearing column off , took off the end cap and bearings. set it on 2 blocks of wood. then took the nut loose (keeping a full nut), took a 3/4" socket 1/2" drive extension bar. put the socket on backwards and gave it a smack. it came off on the 3rd blow. had it socking in PB blaster for 2 days too.
