Ok I could not take it any longer! A lot of folks have been waiting to see the snow thrower in action well this is as close as it is going to get for a little while.
With 20 some inches of snow and bright sun shine I decided to get the 147R out of the sugar-house and remove the moldboard plow and try to fit up the snow thrower. These are some progress shots.
I really did not have much problem. Although I used my own slow method of figuring out how to get it in position. These snow throwers are heavy!
I had a belt for it, which fit very snug over the PTO when the drive pulley was in the full up position. Pulleys aligned fine. Belt tightened up good. Lift rod fit. New handle for the chute seemed to work OK. Lift picked it right up!
It spooled right up and seems like it might throw snow! I threw about two hand fulls of snow with it:biggrin2: One picture is with the rotor spinning!
I do not have any weight in or on the tires, so I did not want to push it too much. Just getting it mounted and some pictures for you guys was enough for a afternoon. I was pleased having never had one of these. Wish I had a paved drive! Its tucked back in the sugar-house and now I have some room in the garage to finish the tiller.
Hope this was not picture overload:) Its like taking pictures of the new grandkids!
Regards,
Chris

Nice tractor Sugarmaker. But!!! when we plow snow I do not think that the first couple of pics are what most of us mean. Lol. If you think that your snowthrower is heavy come and help me put my blower away next spring man those are HEAVY. Nice set up, that should blow your snow all the way to Warren cy.

Thanks guys!

Enjoying your pics, Chris!

Paul,
Guess I was confused for a bit about "plowing" snow in this climate. I knew someone might find the shots of the moldboard plow interesting, so I just had to put those in there too:)

Chris

Yes just pulling your chain a little. My plow makes a bit wider swath in the snow. I have a mulboard plow that I am thinking of adapting to our 2086 but it is going to take some creative thinking and action to do it.

Looks like it takes a nice haul of snow in a pass.

Nice Allen....Don't know that NC will agreee to wanting snow...but to each their own! The 100 still looks great with the added blade.

:beerchug:

Very nice Sugarmaker....Where are the ACTION shots??? You not have anyone around that sugar shack to take some action shots for you???

The 100 looks good with its winter attire on Allen!

Nice shots of the 147 Chris!
