John

Your tight John I do like seeing that mixed matched O! Looks like it earned it keep today.

So the first thing I did when I got it home was to check out the hydro before I took it off the truck (I think they used old motor oil in the hydro, yuck !) As you can see in the pictures I had to replace the drive shaft, I'm surprised it didn't take out the fan it was so sloppy. I tightened up the shaft and got the motor running long enough to get the 782 off the truck and in the garage to finish the repair. Hope you don't mind all the pictures. :bigthink:

Dang that was worn out! Great job on the repairs.:beerchug:

Love that 782!

Nice pics guys!

Jumper,
That has to be one of the most worn out drivelines I've seen. The PO got their money's worth out of it.......

Good looking pic of the 782 Allen!:beer2:

Got some seat time on the 2284 today killing grass fast. :biggrin2:

SumBum 05-14-2013 09:08 PM

I was killing grass Fast on the 1782 until the belt broke on the 60" Haban.
Nothing left to do but finish mowing with the 800. :beerchug: A little slower, OK alot slower. but much quieter.

I have been getting some good seat time with all the cubs lately. Have done a lot of mowing with the 1250 and 782D and tilled the garden with the 1650 today. Heres a few pics :beerchug:

ACecil 05-14-2013 11:29 PM

Great pics, guys!

ACecil 05-18-2013 07:18 PM

Jenn mowed some tall grass with the 2130, it did a great job! She's sporting her pink IH hat!

Used my "O" to haul my engine hoist from the shed to the garage so I could lift up about 700lbs of early Desoto Hemi and set it down in the model A frame in my '27 Model T Ford roadster pickup.

It sure beat making several trips carrying all the heavy pieces and assembling them all in the driveway. One trip with the trailer and the cub never broke a sweat. Although I did! It was HOT today!

Looks good Jenn:beerchug:
You call that grass Allen? Looks like a jungle:biggrin2:
I cut grass with the 1650 for the first time this year. Then got on a side hill and ran out of gas:angry:

ACecil 05-19-2013 12:23 AM

Thanks Todd, it's an area we usually don't mow. We were helping a neighbor out, he doesn't mow back there very often. :beerchug:

Got to do some lawn sweeping between the storms. Not long after I was done, the wind blew the leaves again.

Allen, You have to give credit where credit is due, The wind know's what a big fan of seat time you are and is doing its best to see that you get enough!:biggrin2:

zippy1 05-19-2013 09:50 PM

Looks good Allen, but I think you missed a couple:beerchug:

darkminion_17 05-19-2013 10:13 PM

I think he can leaf them there...

Sam Mac 05-19-2013 10:19 PM

Allen

God put those there because he wanted them there, at least that's my excuse for not sweeping my lawn that and they don't make rough terrain sweepers. Glad you are having fun, I see you have the front tires worn almost down to the air. :beerchug:

ACecil 05-19-2013 11:09 PM

Thanks guys! I'm always looking forward to seat time! :beerchug:

I had to pull the team out so I could sweep out the shop. 4 of my 7 kids thought they'd get some seat time while they were out.

I had to replace the deck belt so I could finish mowing. I'm thinking I hit some bark in the yard from the firewood processing. Must have made some slack in the belt and it jumped off. It wasn't pretty. New belts aren't cheap either! But we are back in business.

The 2 year old always gets first dibs. (He screams the loudest) but they were all fighting over sitting on the 100. Looks like I need to add a few more round fender cubs. Oh Darn :beerchug:

Sam Mac 05-21-2013 08:27 PM

Towed the Bush Hog Flail mower around with the 2182 then took the first dip in the pool for 2013 all good in Galax VA! :beerchug:

Did some playing with the cubs yesterday. Did some discing with the hydraulic lift 108 and I've always wanted to try plowing with a 7 or 8 horse so I threw the plowin gear on the 86. Hopeing to try it out this weekend. The only sucky part is the 100% armstrong lift....

ACecil 05-22-2013 12:39 PM

Looking good, Nick! :beerchug:

Cubcrazy 05-22-2013 05:24 PM

The 108 and 86 look sweet Nick!:beerchug:

Very nice machinery! I'm jealous of your soil. Looks like it has lots of organic matter. I'm sitting on some really tight and heavy $*#^*! Missouri clay.

Watched one of my 782"s leave with it's new owner today. Making room for the 1782 which I will pick up next week. Taking the small trailer so I won't be tempted to find another orphan to bring home.

Those orphan tractors need a place to call home:biggrin2:
Looking forward to pictures of the 1782!
