I got the 71 back together today with a carb rebuild, new air filter, spark plug and wire, sediment bowl and the tank and shrouds from my O'. Haven't gassed it up yet to see if its all good, will do tomorrow or Sunday. Oh ya, put coil from O' on too:beerchug:

Be careful not to spill/drip gas on that fresh paint, or it will bubble. BTDT

tried to do some pulling
:bigthink:I got the 128 out to pull and older wheelhorse 877 up the hill that had run out of gas and was.....well dis-appointed to tell the truth. It would not do it it would just spin. Now to give it some credit the wheelhorse is a hydro and it does not push/pull easy, even with the tow valve open. So i took the 128 back up to the house and got out the ole WH Raider 12 and hooked it up to the 877 and coming up the hill I had to keep looking back to see if the 877 was still attached. I don't know why there was a difference neither the 128 or the Raider has fluid in the tires and they both have the same engine. Any one have any thoughts?

Cub128,
Difference in tires? Different time of day, ground could have been damp? Hitch height different/hooked up different? Fluid in 877 had not "burped" yet, still holding pressure against system? Just thoughts... |
Good work, Jude! :beerchug:

Looks like I might have my Snapper tiller sold to a guy up near the Ohio Plow Day next weekend so i figured i had better get my 582 running. It has a mag 18 in it and I believe the mag was bad so i got it changed. Too bad i can't start it since the wife is asleep. Lets all cross our fingers and hope for the best.
It wasn't today, but in the last week I did buy a 1979 IH built 682 with a lift, spring assist, and a tiller gear box,and then sold my CCC built 682. Maybe one of these days, I can trade my CCC 982 for a IH built one. AJ |

Finished restoring my plow and it's pretty much set up for the field. It made a pretty good furrow for the hard ground we've got. Can't wait until next weekend.

Awesome pic, Adrian! Have fun at your plow day next weekend.
