22power, really great job on the resto.

May I ask where you found the new seat?

Vendor and part number?

I really need a new one for my 882D.

Thanks!

Great Picture rpr, you have a nice looking pair of cub's. The tiller looks to be in A1 shape. Trying my best to locate me one for my 128. Getting ready to sell my Crapsman to help finance a 1450 or similar. Have found 3 or 4 fairly close in great shape.

Mountain Heritage 07-06-2010 10:50 AM

Now there is a tractor that has been reclaimed and risen from what almost looks like a war zone! OMG...nice job!!

You can still buy seats from the dealer. $75 plus tax...

TheSaturnV 07-06-2010 05:03 PM

Ok thanks. I'll check in with my dealer and see what he can do.

Thanks DX3! I just picked up the 105 with tiller, thrower, and chaines.I need to replace a cracked piston in the 105. I bought it that way. For a 1968 is it in very good shape. The price was write so I had to have it.

Its kind of cool that when I go outside to work, he puts his gloves on like dad. He just helped mounting the tiller before the pic. We have to pull apart the 105 to replace a cracked piston soon and that should be fun with him.
Thanks for the good remarks guys!
Rich

Indeed! We all deserve a day off! - don't we ???

This is my son's 1st trip on our family's 1st cub ... No biggy, we thought we put her to the test right away on an acre of 10" high grass ...

It's a good thing my Grandfather is not around ... if that we were to be the case, no one would ever get to ride the best tractor ever made - lol:beerchug:

ACecil 07-21-2010 11:36 PM

Great looking QL, Jimmy!

I got the 42" deck and carier with it. The man I got it from said it had not been run in several years....well after about 30 min on a charger and 3 beers later it fired up and I rode it aroun the yard!

ACecil 08-09-2010 11:20 PM

Nice 128, you got there. :beerchug:

johncub7172 08-09-2010 11:26 PM

Cub128 Glad to hear the 128 started right up for you

Roblynn 08-09-2010 11:48 PM

Must be the night for 128's! I just picked up this 1972 model

http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/s...128cub002a.jpg

Lights look kinda bugeyed!

http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/s...128cub001a.jpg

Came with snow blade, chains, wheel weights and 44" deck.

http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/s...128cub003a.jpg

PO said that the transmission was broke and stuck in gear and the tractor wouldn't move. He didn't know how I was going to get it loaded. Well....I just pushed in the clutch and pushed! He said that it broke two years ago so I wonder if it sat in the same spot for that long??? He had the shifter cover removed and said that he saw "something" broken inside. This one will be coming apart!

Diz Jr. 08-10-2010 07:49 AM

Nice find Roblynn
Hopefully its nothing to major

ACecil 08-10-2010 08:43 AM

Bad to the bone! Very nice machine...and welcome to Only Cub Cadets!:American Flag 1:

kdursus 08-14-2010 01:13 AM

Thank you so much guys for all the great compliments on my 149. I've done a considerable amount of work on this tractor after purchasing it from the PO and continue to do so. However troublesome some of the repairs, fixes, reverse engineering have been thus far I can still say I thoroughly enjoy owning this tractor.

Thank you, Hubman, for the compliment on the lawn as well. It doesn't look this good all the time I can guarantee that. I sure have my fair share, and more it seems at times, of insects continually trying to sabotage my efforts to obtain and enjoy a good lawn - seems a never ending battle on several fronts. It's nice to hear someone recognize an effort.

T-Mo 08-14-2010 08:59 AM

Ken,
Nice looking 149. You always have nice tractors and take excellent pictures. I remember the 110s you posted pictures of on wfm a few years back. A round fendered 110 and a square fender 110. Again, that is one nice looking 149.

BTW, welcome to OCC.

Oh, and one more thing. If you don't mind I like to post that 149 (or you could) on this site: http://cubcadet.1.forumer.com/ It's a picture gallery type site for Cub Cadets. Also, we have a "Picture of the Week" here on OCC that you could submit pictures to. See here: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=5724

Hey Sminkey!! Original looking good there bud! Lets bring up that 71 to the front as well! Its cool seeing other 71's here at Only Cub Cadets.net!

johncub7172 08-19-2010 02:17 AM

O-yea, those wheel weights on the 71.....I would mount those on the inside of the rear wheels, like what they are for. Then you could mount more wheel weights on the outsides!

Ya, love the 71! 2nd Cub I found on Craigslist. Runs great, creeper works well too. Have to figure out why lights don't work, need new switch(maybe the issue). I have 3 sets of IH wheel weights now, so i could go to town if I want to! Will be restoring the 71 after i get done with the 1st 0':beerchug:

kdursus 08-19-2010 12:12 PM

Sminkey - Thank you as well for the compliments!!! I've always liked the Os but the opportunity to own one has not yet arisen. Nice to be as fortunate as you and have two. Great work on the O restoration thus far! Keep up the great work!!!
