Here she is... just bought it this morning, runs and drives awesome, came with wheel weights, snow blower, mower deck, plow, and tire chains. Even got some of the manuals too!! I'm gonna restore her back to new and all the attachments too! Glad I've found this forum, as I'm sure I'll need some help along the way. I'm stoked and can't wait to start!!!!!!

Picked up this little beauty this evening! I have to go back and get the snowblower and mower deck. Only thing missing is part of the PTO. Got wheel weights, chains, Creeeeper gear!! Right fender is beat up, but should be able to get that fixed. She runs very well and all is mechanically sound. Probably sell the Original to fund the restore on this keeper.

ACecil 06-25-2010 08:42 AM

Congrats, on your 71! Good luck with it.

Elephants1772 06-25-2010 10:08 AM

Don't take this the wrong way, but the second picture really shows the size of those Narrow frames,

I've never seen a narrow in person up close, not way behind the shed at somebody's house. , and really the only wide frame i've seen upclose/ inperson, is mine. So i'm not trying to be mean, but Man, there small.

Take it as a good thing, beucase she's LOoking GOOD.

Cody

Methos 06-25-2010 11:11 AM

ROFL! Never seen one in the back like that before! Congrats on your find!

ACecil 06-25-2010 01:13 PM

Cody,

Your used to the super garden tractors...LOL. They are small compared to your tractor.

Elephants1772 06-25-2010 01:36 PM

That's my point, They're small and cool.

Thanks
Cody

Sminkey 06-25-2010 09:20 PM

Thanks guys

I love the fact that the narrow frame tractors will fit perfectly in my Element. Leaves me little excuse but to see if another one or four will fit!! I was just out ridin around and she runs so nice, does need brake and clutch rebuilt though. Amazing how slow the creeper is too.

nickvanorman 06-26-2010 08:33 PM

wow ive never seen a 71 with round fenders before. good buy! i would sell something you don't really need. an original is something everyone needs. hahaha

I'll be buyin another original to restore down the road as the one I have now has the "infamous" cracked frame at the gearbox. I need to have an Original with a correct chassis. The welds are pretty good and looks like they've been there for years. Funny, just sold my mountain bike to purchase the 71!

Hoo-chi 06-27-2010 07:57 AM

Nice 71 Sminkey!

T-Mo 06-28-2010 08:44 AM

I got some of my Cubs out yesterday. One of my 2135s, the 122 and both of the 104s. Not shown is the other 2135, both 123s and the 125.

I got a couple of more out yesterday. Here's one of the 2135s, one of the 123s, both 104s, the 122 and the 125. I have to dig out the other 2135 and the other 123 from a different shed.

No. I have 3 sheds that I use, a 10 x 13, a 12 x 16 and a small 5 x 8 shed. I want to build a pole barn, just need to get the funds together to build one.

ACecil 06-30-2010 01:11 PM

Great shot of the cubs. You have some nice tractors.
