Got to work on the 106 (aka 126) I had to pull the hydro lift apart to rotate the tank and get the fill plug out, works great now:beerchug: also put a new muffler on it and a good set of brakes and put on the rest of the three point that I got from duke. The replacement k 301 runs like a top and pulls nice too, my first time plowing with a gear drive cub!

Great pics, Ben!

jbrewer 11-03-2012 08:12 AM

That thing sure looks like it's ready to WORK! Good job!

Methos 11-03-2012 08:26 AM

I've been getting some compost for the garden. This is my no shovel method. Very easy on my back!:beer2: I have 3 or 4 more loads to get and then I'll spread it out evenly over the garden. In the spring I'll plow and till it in and start planting again.

Cubcrazy 11-03-2012 08:31 AM

Cool loader pics Duke!:beerchug:

Looks like I'm on my way to go plow in the rain with the 582 Super Sport. I don't think I've ever been less motivated to go plowing!

AJ

ACecil 11-03-2012 10:14 AM

Have fun, AJ. Have you ever plowed with your 982?

ajgross 11-03-2012 10:24 AM

I have but it's been a couple of years. The 582 is just too easy to load up to mess with the 982. If I take the 982 somewhere to plow, I have to take a trailer. The tractor and plow don't fit in the bed of my truck. The 582 fits in the bed of my truck like a glove. I don't even put straps on it. Plus lugging that cat 0 plow around is no fun either.

Here are some pics of my 582 and my buddy Rick's 782 in the field today. It was a small gathering. The host didn't want a huge turn out so he invited some of his friends and I invited some of mine. We ended up with 7 of us. Plus there we 2 no shows. I decided to call it quits when the the thunderstorm hit. I've never seen lightning and thunder at 35 degrees. Not to mention the sleet that came with it.

I'm down to two Super's. Sold the 2282 today to a local guy. He came over to look at the JD317 I have listed for sale on C-List and ended up with the 2282. Very cool guy, and he has a NICE machine shop in his garage.:bigthink:

Cubcrazy 11-04-2012 02:35 PM

Wild Bill 11-04-2012 08:09 PM

No Cub time today, but.............

Friday night, pulled the 50C off of the 1712, went totally through it, new EZ-Slide on the bottom side, sharpened the Gator Blades....it's ready for spring.

Then changed oil in the 1712, pulled the front wheels and serviced them, swapped the 10.5" Tru-Powers for the 8.5 turfs-weights-chains (ready for winter) full grease job, then waxed her up :beerchug:

Saturday after deer hunting in the morning, plowed my parents 40' X 140' garden with the 1712 and 12" Brinly...then came home and plowed my 40' X 50' garden.

The 'freshened up' KT17 Series II totally laughs at the 12" plow now :biggrin2:
