Thank you guys.

Got my 4-lug trailer hubs and spindles yesterday. I modified the trailer spindles and a spare set of damaged Cub steering spindles I had laying around. Need to test fit everything to the front axle beam before I weld the spindles on.

Sorry for your loss.

I have a newbie question. Why switch rim types? Is it just a looks thing?
I'm enjoying the photos and craftsmanship.

Best,
Andy.

I'm doing it for durability and because it looks cool. To replace the 3/4" bearings with quality bearings was going to cost close to what I paid for the trailer hubs.

Spindles are ready to weld. I drilled the center of the spindles 3/4" and milled a 3/4" slot at the end. I ground the washer off the Cub spindles and slipped the new spindle over them. Leaving the extra length on the new spindle gives them more metal at the curved part of the Cub spindle where they're prone to bending. The spindles have 2-3deg of camber just like a WF spindle.
