:biggrin2.gif: Nice 782....I like the beer holder...errrr I mean beverage holder!

Matt G. 04-18-2010 12:14 AM

After about 2 years of looking, I (err, my Dad actually) ran across an affordable, nice IH-built 682 to put my loader on so I can get it off that %$#! 124.

Here's why it was cheap...this is all that's left of the engine...

Matt,
I asked this over on the other forum, but just what is wrong with your 124 that you have bad words to say about it?

Awesome 982 you have there, MH! :beerchug:

Matt G. 04-18-2010 11:45 PM

My dad went to another auction today. I now have an engine for yesterday's 682...just gotta get it out of here:

No point in having 18 hp in a loader tractor. 12 will do:biggrin2.gif: I also got a couple pairs of 82 series side panels, an aluminum rear for parts, and another Kohler Command 18 hp V-twin. I think I'm going to try to put it in the 1250 carcass. I always wanted to try putting a V-twin in a 1250 and making it look somewhat factory.

Just finished the Original Friday

Looks good outside with a little sun on it. It took me exactly one month from start to finish plus I was doing two more at the time (models 800 and 123) which should be done this week. I hope to take the 800 with rear PTO to a show this weekend and shell corn with it. I ended up getting three more Cubs this weekend...

ACecil 04-19-2010 12:39 PM

That's a sharp Original, you have there, Mlamar! :beerchug:

Mlamar 04-19-2010 02:34 PM

Thanks

I appreciate that but I restored it for a friend. I would have loved to have claimed it for my own. I have a ton of them but this one was not one of mine. The next 4 out of 5 that I am finishing belong to me and I will be sure to get pictures out on them. I just enjoy restoring them and doing what I can to keep these classics around. There's no feeling like finishing a great old IH Cub Cadet and passing it along.

ihnick 04-19-2010 04:12 PM

You have a 800 with rear pto!!!! I want to see pictures of that. I would like to get a 800 and a 86 sometime in the future

I only have a few pictures of the 800 right now but it should be done in a day or so and I will post more. Here's a sample taken a few weeks ago. And I just purchase another 800 about 2 hour ago. Now if I can only get the wife out of the house for a few hours tonight so I can ...store it inside (the garage not house...yet).

Cub Cadet 800 added to the family

2 Attachment(s)
Just picked up my not-so-new Cub Cadet 800. It's a little ugly but I sure like it. I will post pictures of my other 800 that I am restoring within the next day or so. Oh, I also picked up a model 125, Original and a model 81 (not sure why I have the 81?) this week. Time to add more privacy fence.
Mike

ACecil 04-22-2010 12:41 PM

Nice cubs, guys!

800 done

2 Attachment(s)
Well it's done and ready to attach a flat belt pulley to the rear PTO and start some corn shelling. This is one of two 800's that I own. The other one is in the background of one of the photos (I took the side panels off to see that it was all there).

ACecil 04-26-2010 12:47 PM

Great looking 800. The rear PTO is neat! :beerchug:

johncub7172 04-26-2010 01:29 PM

Super! If looks could kill, I'd be dead! lol!

Mountain Heritage 04-26-2010 02:48 PM

That 800 looks sweet! Would love to see the pictures of it "working" - that would be interesting!
Thanks for sharing

Mlamar 04-26-2010 04:22 PM

The 800 in action

I plan on shelling some corn next weekend if the weather is good. Should have some nice pictures of the 800 running a flat belt to the sheller. I'll share them once I get them. I plan on finishing my 123 with the leopard pattern used by IH when they first promoted the hydrostatic at shopping centers (I think they called it the Cub Cadet Circus). They had one done as a tiger (there is a real nice reproduction out there) but I have yet to see the leopard...so why not make on myself. I have the Cub ready, all I need is the nerve to start adding the spots. My wife will do the face on the front grill (she is very good at free hand painting).

Diz Jr. 04-26-2010 08:56 PM

Mlamar
Nice work on the 800
Can't wait to see it in action.

The 123 is going to look great i am sure.

Just finished up the 126. Still planning on doing the deck. Anyone know what this thing could go for?

ACecil 04-27-2010 11:08 PM

That's an awesome 126! You did a great job on it.

Mlamar 04-28-2010 03:36 PM

What would it go for?

Hey youngguyoldcubs
My answer to your question is that I think it would go for a ride to my place. I'd love to have a 126. That's the model that got me interested in CC's about 18 years ago. Looks nice.

johncub7172 04-29-2010 11:27 PM

Good to see the 126 in good order!

New member here. There is some very nice machinery on this site! Glad I found it. I had 2 Cubs follow me home in the last couple of weeks and from what I have read there will be more to follow. The first was an MTD 2146 for mowing duties and this nice running 123 that came with mower deck and snowblower. I'm Getting prepared to change all fluids and fine tune stuff. Feels like a keeper already. :beerchug:

Weather was great and had fun shelling corn. It's good to have machinery that the kid's can have fun with. We set it up and the kid's that attended the "Beacon Hotel Plow and Show Day" had fun putting the corn in the sheller (we had sure safety was priority #1). Good day all around and I thank my friend Wally for all his work on the event.

Love that 123. One of my favorite models.

That's awesome! Got any other pics? Got to make sure you add that to the list of events for any future shows.
