Rare that I have two diesels, even rarer that I have all CCC and only one IH in the shed.

This is the Ugly Duckling AKA Black Jack # 1 it exists only to cut grass. Beauty is in the eye of the Beer Holder. It started life as an 1863, I got it less engine, plastic and mower deck. Rebuilt it from a pile of parts and dropped a new Vanguard 16 in it. Runs like a new one. :biggrin2:

My 1772.

Would love to find a Haban 60" deck setup, but the 46 works for now...

I'm dying to post a pic of my new 1864, but it's only Friday and I'm picking it up Sunday. I'm super stoked about it! Had a 782 many many years ago and kick myself often for parting with it. Sold to a neighbor because he needed a good mower and I knew it would be a good home. He won't sell it back even after he inherited a newer sloped hood Cub. Guess he's hooked too. I know where there is a Super that was priced to me but I don't have the coin and he's not real interested in selling although I don't think he's crazy on the price for the condition. Maybe one day I can snag it. I really dig the Cyclops. For now here's a picture of a 1320 we're putting together for my 6 year old's first tractor. Nothing wrong with the Kohler but we're putting an 18hp opposed Briggs I/C on it with twin stacks and very likely getting bar tires on rear. I guess it will be a 1820 now lol
I know, wrong forum sorry. Only cub picture I can provide ATM lol
I also know these aren't worth squat but I took it on partial trade when I sold a craftsman to the guy he was fed up with this one. Wiring issues, broken deck brackets, rusty deck, the hydro/brake interlock mechanism got bound up and was stuck in forward only at one speed. I got deck pulled, linkage fixed up, engine pulled and power washed it, cleaned up and repainted donor engine, and rewired it, all in 3 evening's time. I'll have the new engine on and be working on exhaust then she'll be ready to roll. Had to order longer throttle and choke cables to reach front of engine. This is just for him to tool around on, the mower deck won't be going back on it. I took this on trade mainly for the Kohler engine I need to run a hydro pump for my knuckle boom crane on my gooseneck trailer I use to load and haul logs. That's another project. At this moment, I'm money ahead on this Cub. The boy has been trying to lay claim to many parts machines and flipper mowers all cheap junky mtd/AYP variety. After taking this on trade I realized he needed one of his own and regardless of it's status among the cub community at least it bears a good brand name and he can be proud of it. It's his size and hand control hydro will be easy for him to reach safely. We'll let him learn to pull a cart with this one and he can tool around on it at shows. And it'll sound good with that opposed twin breathing through stacks.

I lied. Forgot I had pics of the 1864. Current owner bought it for its engine then decided to go different route. Lucky me I saw it as soon as he posted it. I'm trading him the engine he really wants, to make it worth it to me he is supplying a better seat, bar tires and installing the good plastic he picked up for it, so the way I should receive it should look a lot better than these pics but it's something for now anyway. Wish it was the 2361 the plastic is from! Might put bigger tires on it and make a clone. We'll see. http://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/...psxh5qsiak.jpghttp://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4xbsaelk.jpghttp://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0703y6md.jpg

Got her home today, picked up some 26x12-12's for her as well. I had some 18x8.50 for the front so I got all 4 swapped out this evening as well as put new 20x10 ags on the boy's "1830" which he's been having a blast driving! The 1864 / 2361 clone got a brand new battery as well. Man what a sweet tractor! The deck needs a lot of love if I want to use it ever. I will likely fix it up as a backup but no plans to mow with it regularly. This thing is a beast! http://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/...psevlyopol.jpghttp://i1021.photobucket.com/albums/...psyvzxtfmg.jpg

i get no results when i search for 2361 and those decals were made by a sign shop, as far as i know there is no 2361.

bigblue12v 05-24-2016 01:43 PM

Tim, I couldn't find a single shred of evidence of it either. After closer inspection I could see where there used to be different numbers on the side panels although I couldn't make them out. So yea for whatever reason someone put different decals on it. Hmm.

New to Me 126

I have been posting about 2 CC's that are new to me, so I thought I would post a few pics to get your thoughts. I bought a 126 and a 1641 from an estate, paid $250 for the pair. The 126 was in pieces after a partial rebuild, so it took me a bit to get it assembled but runs like a champ. I have the front grill and numerous other parts, some OEM in the bag. I am working on cleaning the fuel system of the 1641 but in the interim, here is the 126.

looks good but you need to wax it to help stop the paint from fading.

Rainman 4820 -- Two machines for $250! That's in the same league as a Lew deal!

Geoff -- Sweet machine...what 35 years to barely break it in? Cream puff. Is it a IH or CCC? A new replacement hood ornament can be purchased at extreme motor works if needed.

I just picked this up recently - New to me. Have a little work to do to it, but should be minor..The machine itself is pretty and the deck is in great shape.
