I worked for a parts store all through high school and enlisted in the army after graduation. Started working for NAPA at 22 and had my own store at 27. It is a great company to work for and I'd still be there if not for MS. Picked it up about 10 years ago and worked through until last year. The left side of my body went on strike. Now I single-handedly (get it?) work on my Cubs, keep my lab company, and check off things from the honey-do list. Life is still good, just different.

A few over the years. Usually not much more than "good morning" "how are you" kinda stuff though. A few have been very nice, and a few were not. During the MTV music video awards in 2001 I actually cornered Dale Earnhardt Jr. and asked to shake his hand. That is the only time I have done such a thing and I felt pretty stupid afterwards. I have always felt that no matter how famous these people are, we are all at work and that they deserve to be left alone to do their jobs. Arlo Guthrie was a really nice guy. He was hanging out on the street with us while we loaded his gear into the bus. Most of my work nowadays is up in the ceiling and I try to stay there as much as possible. I don't rub shoulders with celebrities, but, I don't rub shoulders with the boss much either.

After a 6 year trip through the Navy, I have been an HVAC/R service technician for the past 17 years or so. I am a hobby farmer nights and weekends. Chickens, ducks, goats, donkeys, and pigs.

Well I grew up on a farm, did that until 1996. We back grounded 300 to 500 head feeder calves a year for a local feed lot. Farmed about 1000 acres total ran all IH equip except for the massy 750 combine. Had around 100 acres of alfalfa we baled. After that I worked at midway arms fit 11 1/2 years until I got married, moved and went to work at a company that designs , makes , builds and sells security equip to retailers. If you have seen the cameras in Walmart they came from where I work. I do a little bit of everything there building servalance camera housings forming them on vacuum forming machines , also use a machine called a thermowood like a cnc machine. I paint a lot if demo model stuff a one off custom stuff. I went to tech school after high school for diesel and farm machine repair, should have stayed with that instead of going to factory work but at the time pay and benefits were better at factory job, wish I would have went the mechanic route instead. I also work part-time at Lowes now in the lumber department.
