I have been following this thread and like the work you have done. I was curious if you got the brake/clutch split done? If so how did it work out?

EarlJ - No I haven't gotten around to that yet. I'm not sure if I'll do it as of this moment due to an idea for a 4WD Cub I'd like to do. Might leave the 100 in more of a stock form. That may change later on. We'll see.

Sorry guys as my progress is frustratingly slow at the moment & has been for a while. I've had a rash of broken parts, which leads to finding replacement parts & having overall difficulty trying to get the little guy back together. Since the last update I made a stub for the implement handle to move the rear lift up & down, got the steering fairly squared away (needs a little adjustment, no biggie), got the dash tower remounted, my drive clutch/driveshaft assembled with IHinIN's pivot support (SWEET!) and put the little guy back on his wheels. Now the bad news...

The motor is giving me huge problems. I'm on my 3rd flywheel (I broke one, USPS smashed my replacement & now my current one) and it doesn't want to seat all the way on. The sheetmetal shroud over the flywheel needs to go on another 1/8" before the holes in the line up with the screw holes in the plate under the flywheel. Smashed my clutch drive pulley in the process of putting the flywheel on. Not sure what to do now. Wondering if maybe the key is too far back & is sticking on the ramp near the end of the slot. haven't taken the flywheel off yet to look.

Here are some new pictures. :beerchug:

Think I figured out why the flywheel didn't want to go on all the way; I had the wrong size key in the keyway. Pulled the flywheel off, removed the key & slid the flywheel back on until it stopped. Slipped the shroud on and I had a between a 1/16" & 1/8" clearance between the fins and the shroud. I think that should be enough... Sorry guys, no pictures at the moment. :crap:

Crankshaft key

What size key is correct for a K241as crankshaft & flywheel?
