I know Matt posted a method on his website yrs ago on how to do this. I'd like to see how you did it as well. Looks fantastic and I really like using the original IH hardware

Sawdustdad, I don't mind at all providing details of my set up. I will get some pics and start a thread in the Restoration Forum.
Mean while you can check out these 2 web sites they are the ones I referred to most, and there lots of you tubes on the subject. Just google DIY zinc plating.

Well I have made some progress on the restore of the 100. I got all the pieces primed and wet sanded and ready for paint. I hope to get some of it painted this week, I need to get a day when the wind is calm since I spray outside.

Looks great so far Larry. Now here’s the question we all ask. What paint are you using and what’s the delivery system?

Progress is right! Looking good!

I'll be using the IH Iron Gard 935 white and IH Iron Gard Federal Yellow, Sprayed with my cheap HF spray gun.

Cub Cadet 100 mower belt / no room to remove with the grill in place?

Hello Cub team, has anyone else ever encountered the issue that the model 100 does not have enough room to remove the mower belt from the PTO with out loosening the front grill assembly? I noticed some units have the grill section cut away to gain access? Thanks for any advice, Joe.

If you do not mind a suggestion, pick up a pint of the Valspar hardener that the dealers stock for mixing in with the Iron Gard Enamel. It will make the paint more durable, it drys faster and it will be more resistant to fuel spills and can be polished if needed. You will need to pick up a proper charcoal respirator to safely spray it. Good luck.
