Float Button

Replaced the float button on the lift arm today. I'd been living without it several years after a hack job replacement of the release button. The top of the release button had broken off and I didn't realize the button threads onto the release rod until after I had destroyed the float button removing it - lessons learned.

After mounting the dozer blade I saw how handy it would be. I found one mail order and taped it onto a socket. Drove it about half way in and then used a toothpick to apply some Loctite Stud-N-Bearing Mount for good measure. Time will tell how it holds up. Yeah - I could use a new seat and rubber grip too.

Today I put the QA 42 snow thrower on the 123. After sleeping for 2 years it woke right up.

It's been that long since you got enough snow to use the 123? Or you just wanted to "play in the snow?":biggrin2:

I got tired of shoveling, did some cleanup around the mailbox and around the cub storage area.
Yes and also I may add I wanted to play in the snow.

Worked on the hood for my 104 restoration. One of the pivot bushings was missing and the other was about to fall off.

I made a replacement for the missing on from a slice of 1" round and pinch welded them back on after cleaning up the weld area.

Next up will be a new cross brace to replace the cracked original. Will be made from 16ga instead of the original 18ga.

Well I put the new carb, points, breaker rod, and condenser on the 102. It runs like a dream. They gave me the wrong spark plug and I picked out the wrong coil wire myself. These can wait til another day. I did pull the spark plug out and was a little sooty. Cleaned it and reinstalled. I figure it was where the other carb was outta whack. Still gotta figure out the steering wheel nut. Not sure if it's still mushroomed a tiny bit or if I'm trying to put the wrong nut on it. I'll get it though

Holy cow that's a brilliant idea. I wished I had seen your idea before painting my 147 :bash2:
