Worked up a new wiring diagram for this one today. It will be just a bit simpler than what it came with. It's getting a key switch for the early 782's and a Kohler voltage regulator. Waiting for parts now. :biggrin2:

Key switch and genuine made in china VR showed up today, now just waiting on the new hoses from Kubota before I can get back to work on this mess. It was warm enough today so I squirted some yellow paint on the front of the frame. Looks better than the rust but it's no show queen by any means. :beerchug:

Sam, Why the new VR? Less wiring or was there a charging problem with the Kubota VR?

Easier to wire. :beerchug:

Got most of the wiring harness put together today. Still waiting for 2 hoses but I got the important ones so I'll be able to progress with what I have. Hope to get the engine back in tomorrow or the next day. Using a switch for an early 782 makes the harness much easier to build, no diodes or any of the other fancy crap to deal with. :beerchug:

It lives! Got it up and running today. Everything works as it should. I'm a happy camper. Also got the 3 point back on, sorry no pics of the 3 point. I added a fuse block. The genuine made in China copy of a Kohler VR works great, sit's right on 14.5 volts. Engine smokes but it has 55 lbs of oil pressure. I need to see if it has valve guide seals, if so I may stick a new set in and see if that helps. Took it for a ride, sitting on the gas tank is not all that comfy.:biggrin2: Found out that the high water temp sender is defective, gotta order a new one. So here are a few pics for you guys. :beerchug: :beerchug:

Looking GREAT Sam! I hope the smoking isn't too bad of an issue. I'm sure you'll get it cleared up in no time. Good luck! :beerchug:
